The Time of Her Life

Actual Date: Saturday, February 5, 2011

Praise the Lord.

Glory Hallelujah.

Today was the first day in 4 days that we were able to get out of the house.  It was glorious.  I had Brian drive us to the store that morning because although it was warming up quick some of the roads were still icy.  Let me tell you, that store was packed.  I believe everybody and their Mother was there.  Just like us, they were running low on EVERYTHING.

After the store we headed home to unload everything and later that day Brooke and I headed out for her friend Isabelle's Birthday Party.

It was at a cute little dress up boutique.

First they got to get their nails painted.

It was so fun and girly in there.

She lives for this kinda stuff.

Then they got a little blush and glittery eye shadow.

"See Mom!"

After that, all the girls got to go into a room where they had tons of Princess dresses in every size and they got to pick which one they wanted.

There were so many to choose from!

Then they headed out to the stage to be crowned a Princess by the Birthday girl.

The Royal Birthday girl and her court.

There were a few boys there and it was cute because they got to wear top hats and ties.  Then the lady running the party drew mustaches on their face with a lip liner pencil.

After the crowning they headed to the table for some tea time.  Above they are saying the special words and waving their wands to make "giggle tea."

They got to listen to a story while they sipped.

All smiles.  She was having the time of her life.  This is the stuff her dreams are made of.

I love getting to go do stuff one on one with the kids like this.  And I know they love the one on one time too.  They always get more chatty and are in such a good mood the whole time.  That's why I try to make the effort to do this with each kid whenever possible. Brian does he same.  He takes Brooke golfing with him sometimes.  She even has her own set of pink golf clubs.  Ava loves to help him so he always takes her on his runs to Auto Zone or Lowes.  Even though Parker is to young to realize, we still try to squeeze in some alone time with the little man too.

The tea party room.

After the tea party, the Birthday girl headed to the special pumpkin carriage to open her presents.

How sweet is that?  It's actually a bed.  I've seen it before on a website.  What little girl wouldn't die for that bed?

After the party was over we exited through the boutique.  Excellent strategy on the shops part.  Every single girl from the party ran around finding things that they absolutely couldn't live without!

There Brookie goes with her very own shopping cart.  We found some pretty hair bows because a girl can never have enough hair bows.

Thanks for letting me spend the day with you Brooke.  I had a blast watching you have the time of your life.
