Bri Bri's Birthday

Actual Date: Saturday, March 12, 2011

Awhile back I told you about my friend Kristine's oldest child, Rocco.  On this day we celebrated her youngest, Brianna. She was turning two.

They had her party at this really cool play place.  We where running so far behind that morning.  We had to stop at the store and pick up the present before heading over to the party. While we were standing in line Ava found a Peanut M&M on the floor and decided suck on it while I was distracted at the register.  When I turned around I saw her with it smooched all over face and hands.

I panicked.

 I freaked.

I grabbed her and ran to the bathroom to wash her up before any of it got on Brooke.  Plus I was nervous for Ava because she has never had anything peanut and we weren't sure if she was allergic to it like Brooke or not.  She ended up being fine and so was Brooke but I guess in my panic I left the gift at the register so I had to go back and get it.

Needless to say the girls and I got there late so I'm not sure what all they did but that place was amazing!  There was so much fun stuff for kids.

They got to paint.

I love how intense my girls were about it. That's Ava on the far left and Brooke all the way on the right.

Ava was one of the last kids left at the table.  She had to get every last inch of that thing.

After they got done painting they got to go backhand play on the trampoline, ball pit, slide thing.

Then it was time to sing Happy Birthday to Little Bri Bri.

I love her face here.  She was so excited when she saw the cake and she loved when everyone sang to her.

Her cute little outfit matched the cake perfectly.  Kristine is cool like that. That's why I love her.

Brooke was so excited because she actually got to eat the cake at this birthday party.  I usually bring along her own special cupcake for her to eat because a lot of times the cake is "processed in a plant with peanuts" or we just aren't sure if it's safe.  Better to be safe than sorry.  But this time she saw Avery (Kristine's Middle child who is allergic to peanuts too) eating a piece of cake and her face lit up.  She said "Avery's eating the cake!  Does that mean I get to eat it too?!"  When I told her yes she was beside herself.  I was happy for her too.  For once she got celebrate like everyone else.

Next was the train ride.  It was fun for them.  They had fake life sized animals all around the track and the kids loved it.

I couldn't get a good one of Ava but that's the side of her face there.  It was fun to watch their faces light up when they saw the different animals.

Thanks for having us at your party Bri!  We had a blast!

And I'm pretty proud of myself for making it out of that gift shop empty handed.  I wanted like everything in there.  Well, everything except the Ant Farm... I hate ants with a passion.  They creep me out.  And that's putting it lightly.

But that's a whole nother story for a whole nother day.
