Took the girls to the pool at the gym today after my work out. I love taking them there because they have that little beach area where they can stand and play and the water is not too deep. They love it too.
Well right up till the point that the life guard blew her whistle and said that everyone under the age of 12 had to get out of the pool for a ten minute safety rest.
There's the two girls pouting, wishing they could be in the water.
I'm pretty sure that ten minutes was pure torture to them. All they could do was sit there and stare at the water and ask every 10 seconds, "Is it time to go back in yet?""How 'bout now Mom?"
"Now?"
Longest ten minutes of my life.
